WHere is a home-style version of a drink from our latest drinks list. This is a batch premix that's loaded full of essence of the Christmas time, rendering it perfect for a holiday party. Reserve the remaining cordial you can use for brunch beverages, desserts, or for additional servings of the drink.

Serves 10 guests
To make the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Citrus Syrup: Combine the listed components into a saucepan, bring to a simmer, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the burner and leave to reach room temperature completely. Decant into a sealable bottle, seal and refrigerate it in the fridge, where it will keep for about one month.
To make Batch Mix: Combine all the spirits and syrup into one large bottle, leave to sit for one hour, then strain , ideally through cheesecloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Add 85ml of the premix into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and agitate lightly for a minute to chill. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with the cranberries and finish with a quick spritz of the essential oil over the drink.
