Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a torrid period, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and finally splitting with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from March of the previous year.
The win also means the Russian has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my children at once, so to get a title is particularly special," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular emotional displays on court had led commentators to wonder if his capacity to play at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the player has made changes in the past month, attempting to come to the net and play positively, supported by an better service.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the last five points to go ahead.
The pair traded service breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his initial tour title, took control to create a final set.
The opponent rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before the champion won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
